About Ahmad

Ahmad Jajja is a senior AI research engineer at Esaholic and a generative AI specialist. Generative AI is the kind of AI that creates new text, images, or other content. Ahmad leads the research, testing, and production work behind such models, with a focus on systems that answer from a company's own documents rather than guessing.

He is currently pursuing advanced graduate research in computer science at Montana State University, which gives his practical work a strong research base. He won an international AI hackathon challenge on detecting hallucinations, the confident but false statements AI models sometimes produce. He also served as a section leader at Stanford University, where he mentored more than 100 international students in Python and software basics, and he has trained more than 2,000 engineers and students through a mass IT training program.

Ahmad builds retrieval augmented generation systems, known as RAG. In plain terms, a RAG system first finds the relevant documents, then uses them to shape the answer, so the result can be checked against real sources. He adds verification steps that compare answers with trusted documents before they reach the reader. He also fine-tunes models, which means adapting a general model to a specific subject, and builds the data pipelines that prepare and organize the data those models learn from.

Expertise

  • Generative AI: AI that creates new text and other content
  • RAG: finding relevant documents first, then using them to shape the answer
  • Hallucination mitigation: reducing confident but false AI statements
  • Fine-tuning: adapting a general model to a specific subject
  • Data pipelines: systems that prepare and move data for AI use
